Nancy Kathryn Owen Burd

Nancy Kathryn Burd went home to be with the Lord on January 12, 2025, peacefully in her sleep.

Nancy was born on December 12, 1947, to Lewis Cole Owen and Hycinth Leigh Holliday. She married Larry Homer Burd, and they were blessed with two sons – Joseph Larry Robert and Michael Allen Cole. Nancy earned her associate’s degree from Southwestern College in Georgetown, and she worked for Austin White Lime and then retired from UPS.

Nancy is preceded in death by her husband Larry, son Jospeh, daughter Amy Fine, her parents, sister Debra Owen, grandson Michael Lance Culbertson, and Aunt Kathryn Owen of Winchester, KY.

Nancy is survived by son Michael Burd, grandchildren Kathryn Paige, Hailey and Michael Colton, Larry Culbertson, Tyler Stasney, great grandson Lawson Culbertson and Cashiana. Also, sisters Bonnie Steel, Becky Vinson and husband Russ Vinson, brother John Owen and wife Debbie.

Nieces and nephews, Jerry Steele and sons Kevin, Ethan and Mason; Craig Steele and wife Sarah, children Ariana, Robby and Aubrey; Millie Brown; Debra and Clint Wadsworth and daughters Carol and Alice; Eddie Brown and wife Sherry, children Dakota and Ava; Tracee Owen and daughters Leah and Helena; Tara Owen and Kyle Owen; Lynn Rosenkrans and husband Aaron and children Zachary, Nathaniel, Vada Dianne Kathryn, Vada Evelyn and husband Chris; Babrbara Medford and children Shaina and Carson; sister Stephanie Guzner; Vada Diana Culbertson and daughter Vada Shalee.

Graveside services will be held on Saturday, January 25, 2025, at 1PM at Oak Hill Cemetery pavilion in Cameron. Visitation will be held 1 hour prior to the service, at the cemetery.
