Kristie Prater Morehouse was born in Temple, Texas on July 30, 1984, to William and Cheryl Prater and was raised in Zabcikville. She graduated from Rogers High School and went on to Texas Tech University to earn a degree in Health and Human Science.
On December 23, 2005, Kristie married the love of her life, Anthony Ray Morehouse. She was the proud mother of four children whom she loved very much. They lived in Lubbock, Granger, and Rogers.
She was involved in church, her children’s homeschool co-op, and Cub Scouts. She enjoyed expressing her artistic ability by helping with VBS decorations, decorating cakes for her children’s parties, and painting and drawing. Kristie was lighthearted and she loved animals and singing.
Kristie courageously battled colon cancer for the last two and a half years of her life.
She entered His glory on Sunday, December 4, 2022. She was a faithful follower of Jesus Christ and set a wonderful Christian example for all who knew her. She was loved dearly and will be missed terribly.
She was preceded in death by her grandma, Lois Skala, and grandfather, Tilman Prater, Jr.
Those left to cherish her memory and carry on her walk are her husband, Anthony Morehouse, and children, Aiden, Noah, Emmalyn, and Ty, of Rogers; parents, William and Cheryl Prater of Zabcikville; sisters, Angela Horine, husband Jason and their children, Aliya and Audrey of College Station and Bethany Beechem, husband Tyler and their children, Theodore and June of Rosebud; in-laws, Kathi Morehouse of Temple and Robert and Martha Morehouse of Lubbock; brother-in-law, Kevin Morehouse, wife Lauren and children, Mercy, Annabelle, Selah, and Daniel of Belton; grandparents, Frank Skala of Rosebud and Jane Prater of Rogers; grandmothers-in-law, Shirlee Porter of Temple and Lois Nichols of Portales, New Mexico; and numerous uncles, aunts and cousins.
Services will be Monday, Dec. 12, at 10 a.m. at First Baptist Church, Rogers. Visitation will be at 9 a.m. Burial will be at Powers Chapel Cemetery near Rosebud.

Cook-Gerngross-Green-Patterson Funeral Home in Rosebud is in charge of arrangements.
