She was a devout Christian and although was not a regular churchgoer growing up, after she became a mom, she started attending church consistently. She wanted to raise her kids in the church and was a member of a different Lutheran churches throughout the years. At her death she was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Cameron, TX.

She thoroughly loved being a part of The Grandmother's Club and attended many activities with the group and enjoyed traveling to several fun destinations.

Despite her limited eyesight, Georgie enjoyed cooking and baking, was great at crocheting, and had a passion for playing 42! Her memory of family history was impressive and many extended family members enjoyed her retelling of past events. She loved her family dearly and has left a legacy of love with them.
