Gary Bruce Lawson, Sr.

Mr. Gary Bruce "Little Cotton"  Lawson, Sr., 61, of Bartlett, Texas, passed away Monday September 2, 2019, at a Temple hospital. Services for Mr. Lawson will be held Thursday, September 5, at 11:00 a.m. at the Davilla Assembly of God, Davilla, Texas, with Rev. Randy Holtzclaw officiating. Burial will follow in Val Verde Cemetery. Visitation will be held one hour before the funeral at the church.

Mr. Lawson was born October 29, 1957, in Bell County, to Arthur Lee and Martha (Cothran) Lawson. He attended Bartlett High School and was employed by Taylor ISD. He was a member of the Assembly of God Church in Davilla.

Surviving Mr. Lawson is wife, Helen Lawson of Bartlett, children Gary Bruce Lawson Jr., and Michelle of Buckholts. Brandy Chenoweth and  Jason of Davilla, and Miranda Fritz and James Lawrence of Holland, TX.  Also surviving are brothers, Matthew Lawson of Davilla, Christopher and J. D. Lawson, both of Ohio.; sisters, Sandra Davila and Katherine Lawson, both of Davilla, Mary Reyna of Granger, Pansy Spellacy of Morro Bay, CA, Diane Plough of Holland and Amanda Lawson of Holland. He is also survived by ten grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
