Frankie Gene Ballard, 67, of Rosebud, died Sunday, March 15, 2020, at his residence. Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday at the Powers Chapel Cemetery Tabernacle. Larry Jackson and David Hall will officiate. Burial will follow in Powers Chapel Cemetery.
Mr. Ballard was born July 21, 1952 in Rosebud to Jack and Bessie Chambers Ballard. He graduated from Rosebud High School in 1970 and TSTI in Waco. He married Janice Spurlock on July 19, 1974. He owned Ballard TV and Ballard Laundry and later worked as an INC Technician at TXU in Rockdale and was Lead Technician at the Oak Grove Power Plant in Franklin. He also worked for The Lower Colorado River Authority and Texas A&M. He was a rancher and owner of Travis Motors. He was a member of Rosebud Church of Christ.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Eugene and Paul Ballard, and two sisters, Polly Renfro and Joyce Ballard.
He is survived by his wife, Janice Ballard of Rosebud, two sons, Brad Ballard and wife Amy of Rosebud and Beau Ballard and wife Erica of Robinson, one daughter, Crystal Ballard of Corpus Christi, one brother, Tom Ballard of Winsted, Minnesota, and five grandchildren, Brooklyn Ballard, Bella Ballard, Elijah Ballard, Sadie Ballard, and Jack Ballard.

Visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday at Cook-Gerngross-Green-Patterson Funeral Home in Rosebud.
