Evelyn Tindle, 95, of Athens, died Tuesday, August 24, 2021, in an Athens Assisted Living Center. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday at Powers Chapel Cemetery near Rosebud.
Mrs. Tindle was born September 10, 1925 near Lott to John and Emma Pomykal Sibley. She graduated from Lott High School and received her degree in Nursing from Baylor University. She married Welmer Crites, Earl Lilley, and Ralph Tindle. She worked at Providence Hospital, the Waco VA Hospital, and was the director of nursing at a nursing home in Newark, Texas. She volunteered at the Athens Food Pantry and was a member of St. Edwards Catholic Church in Athens.
She was preceded in death by her husbands and one step son, Patrick Lilley.
She is survived by one son, Tom Crites of Pittsburg, California, one step son, Frank Tindle and wife Janet of Belton, one step daughter, Bonnie Repp and husband Kenneth of Lott, and daughter in law, Joanie Lilley of Fort Worth, 8 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.

Cook-Gerngross-Green-Patterson Funeral Home in Rosebud is in charge of arreangements.
