Elizabeth Kay Cryer, 73, passed away the 18th of February, 2021 in Conroe, TX after a lengthy illness.
Elizabeth was born on May 26, 1947 to Frank Elmo Clayton and Margaret Ethel Lane Clayton in Fort Worth, TX. She was raised in the Fort Worth community and graduated from Kennedale High School in 1965. After marrying her husband, Kenneth Cryer, she was a long time resident and convenience store owner in Fredericksburg and Kerrville, Texas. Later, she worked at Albertson’s and H.E.B. Grocery stores in Kerrville, Texas, retiring from H.E.B. in 2018.
She will be remembered by her children, immediate and extended family members, and numerous friends as a woman of great strength, compassion, and dignity. She deeply loved her family, and they were always a great source of pride for her. She is preceded in death by her parents and husband. She is survived by sons Troy (Lauri) Wenzel, Jason (Jennifer) Wenzel and Eric Byrd; 5 grandchildren; and her brother Jim (Kathe) Clayton and extended family.
