Denise Ann Tongate

Denise Ann Tongate, 60, of Buckholts, died Sunday, January 31, 2021, at a Temple Hospital. Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, February 10, 2021,  in the Church of the Visitation in Westphalia. Rev. Darrell Kostiha will officiate. Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery in Westphalia.

Mrs. Tongate was born June 18, 1960 in Temple to Willis and Rosalie Roessler Green. She grew up in Westphalia and graduated from Rosebud-Lott High School in 1978. She married Mark David Tongate on March 21, 1987. She worked as an EKG Technician at Baylor Scott and White Hospital in Temple. She was a member of the Church of the Visitation in Westphalia.

She is survived by her husband, Mark David Tongate of Buckholts, one daughter, Ashley Morgan Tongate of San  Marcos, two brothers, Marvin (Butch) Green and wife Ann of  Robinson, and Kenneth Green and wife Patsy of Westphalia.

Visitation will be held from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. Tuesday at Cook-Gerngross-Green-Patterson Funeral Home in Rosebud. A Rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m.
