David Darrell Gann, affectionately known to family and friends as "Pee Wee," was born on March 25, 1944, in Lampasas, Texas. He departed this life on March 20, 2025, in Cameron, Texas, just days shy of his 81st birthday. His journey through life was marked by a strong work ethic and a commitment to family, leaving a lasting impact on all who knew him.
David had a fulfilling career, having retired as an equipment operator from Milam County. His work was not just a job; it was a testament to his dedication and skills, contributing significantly to the community in which he lived. Beyond his professional life, David cherished his time outdoors, finding joy in hunting and fishing. These hobbies were more than pastimes for him; they were opportunities for connection with nature and with loved ones.
On November 23, 1963, David married Erna Mae Gann, who would remain the love of his life until her passing. Together, they built a family and shared countless memories. David is survived by his sons, Kenneth, Clifford, and Dennis Gann. He also leaves behind his son and daughter-in-law, Aaron and Shawna Gann, along with his beloved daughter and son-in-law, Sharon and Brian Eickenhorst. David's legacy continues through his brothers, Billy (Joyce) Gann, and Richard Gann.
In addition to his immediate family, David was deeply influenced by the love and support of his parents, William Gayle and Lola Zieschang Gann, who have preceded him in death. His family, both living and those who have passed, shaped the caring individual that David became.
The memory of David's life will be honored through visitation services held at Green - Patterson Funeral Home in Cameron, Texas, on March 24, 2025, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM. A funeral service will follow on March 25, 2025, at 2:00 PM, with a burial to take place thereafter at Marlow Cemetery.
David "Pee Wee" Gann will be remembered for his unwavering love for his family, his dedication to his work, and his zest for life. His spirit will forever remain a part of the hearts he touched throughout his lifetime.
