Cora Mae Sell, 98, of Rosebud, died Saturday, May 8, 2021, in a Rosebud Nursing Home. Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday in Salem Lutheran Church near Rosebud. Rev. Terry Atkins will officiate. Burial will follow in Salem Lutheran Cemetery.
Mrs. Sell was born April 15, 1923 in New Braunfels to Gustav and Anna Sitz Jahns. She moved to the Clarkson community at an early age and graduated from CH Yoe High School in Cameron in 1940. She married Eugene Sell on June 24, 1941. She retired from Scott and White Hospital in Temple 1985. She was a member of Salem Lutheran Church for the past 70 years.
She was preceded in death by her husband and by a granddaughter, Ashley Hoelscher.
She is survived by one son, James Sell and wife Cheryl of Rosebud, four daughters, Ann Barnett and husband Bobby of Mason, Ohio, Gracelyn Adams and husband Shepard of LaRange, Louisiana, Ruth Webb and husband Paul of Huntsville, Eugenia M. Tarver and husband Hiram of Travis, 13 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to the Salem Lutheran Perpetual Cemetery Fund, 418 FM 1772, Rosebud, TX 76570.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday at Cook-Gerngross-Green-Patterson Funeral Home in Rosebud.
