Clarence Bartek, 80, of Temple, died Saturday, April 27, 2019 at his residence. Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Cyclone. Rev. Darrell Kostiha officiating. Burial will follow in St. Joseph’s Cemetery.
Mr. Bartek was born November 21, 1938 in the Wilson community to Arnold and Rosalie Hoelscher Bartek. He graduated from Rosebud High School in 1957 and attended Virginia Community College in Roanoke, Virginia. He married Nelcyne Ranly on August 30, 1959. He served in the Army National Guard. He worked as Financial Director for Titus Regional Medical Center in Mount Pleasant and after his retirement he worked for Home Depot in Mount Pleasant. He was a member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Cyclone.
He is survived by his wife: Nelcyne Bartek of Temple, three sons, David Bartek and wife Suzie of Plano, Mark Bartek and wife Pam of Zabcikville, Ron Bartek of Lake Charles, LA, One sister, Helen Ranly of Westphalia, 6 Grandchildren and 1 Great Grandchild.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Jimmy Bartek.
Memorials may be made to St. Joseph’s Catholic Church.
Visitation will be held from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, followed by a rosary at 7:00 p.m. at Cook-Gerngross-Green-Patterson Funeral Home in Rosebud.
