Calvin Jay Miller

Calvin Jay Miller, 85, of Lott, died Monday, March 24, 2025 in a Waco Hospital. Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday in the Faith Mennonite Fellowship in Travis. Burial will follow in Clover Hill Cemetery in Lott.

Mr. Miller was born on August 13, 1939 in Kalona, Iowa to Daniel and Catherine Gingerich Miller. He moved to the Lott area in 1985. He married Ada Miller on January 10, 1960. He worked as a farmer, truck driver and as a taxi driver for the Amish. He was a member of Faith Mennonite Fellowship.

He is survived by his wife, Ada Miller of Lott, three sons, Darrel Miller of Lott, Vernon Miller of Fairplay, South Carolina, Byron Miller of Etawoah, Tennessee, five daughters, Sharon Burns of Cuba, Missouri, Rosemary Friesen of Lott, Wanda Yoder of Etawoah, Tennessee, Linda Yoder of New Paris, Indiania, and Catherine Miller of Big Timber, Montana, 32 grandchildren, and 32 great grandchildren.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday at Faith Mennonite Fellowship in Travis.

Cook-Gerngross-Green-Patterson Funeral Home in Rosebud is in charge of arrangements.
