Betty Herridge

Betty Herridge, 91, of Pflugerville, formerly of Travis, died Saturday, February 27, 2021, in a Cedar Park Nursing Center. Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday in Cook-Gerngross-Green-Patterson Funeral Home in Rosebud. Rev. Mike Demchsak will officiate. Burial will follow in Phillips Cemetery in Travis.

Mrs. Herridge was born August 11, 1929 in Travis to Jack Barto and Mary Cansler Sandlin. She graduated from Sabine High School and Texas State Teachers College in San Marcos. She married Jim William Herridge on June 3, 1950. She taught school in the Northside Independent School District in San Antonio and in Odessa. She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Rosebud.

She was preceded in death by her husband, and one brother, Jack Sandlin.

She is survived by one son, Jay William Herridge and wife Maria of Waco, one daughter, Mary Leanne Demchsak and husband Mike of Round Rock, one brother, Paul Sandlin of Rosewood, 6 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.

Visitation will be held from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
