Alvin Albert Entrop, 83, of Rogers, died Monday, March 9, 2020, in a Temple Hospital. Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday at Westphalia Parish Hall. Rev. Darrell Kostiha will officiate. Graveside services will be at 12:00 p.m. at Bellwood Memorial Park in Temple.
Mr. Entrop was born December 19, 1936 in Lott to Anton J. and Helen Hoelscher Entrop. He graduated from Lott High School and served in the US Army. He married Letty Aretha Sears on April 20, 1974. He worked as a fireman for the Temple and Fort Hood Fire Departments for over 24 years. He was a member of Westphalia VFW Post #6117 and the Mid Texas Quarter Horse Association. He was a member of the Church of the Visitation in Westphalia and St. Matthews Catholic Church in Rogers.
He was preceded in death by his wife and one daughter, Autumn Entrop.
He is survived by one daughter, Amber Thompson of Tooele, Utah, two brothers, Gerald Entrop of Amarillo, and Lee Allen Entrop of Fort Myers, Florida, three sisters, Edna Entrop Spivey of Westphalia, Lucille Reeves and Betty Jean Wellen both of Friendswood, 4 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.
Memorials may be made to the Church of the Visitation, 144 CR 3000, Lott, TX 76656.
Visitaiton will be 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. Friday. Rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. Friday at Cook-Gerngross-Green-Patterson Funeral Home in Rosebud.
