Ronald C “Ronnie” Ranly, 71, of Westphalia, died Tuesday, October 25, 2016, in a Temple Hospital. Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday in the Church of the Visitation in Westphalia. Rev. Edwin Kagoo officiating. Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery in Westphalia.
Mr. Ranly was born March 9, 1945 in Westphalia to George and Viola Heck Ranly. He graduated from Lott High School and married Lanette Schiller on October 23, 1965. He worked as a machinist for 39 years for ALCOA in Rockdale and was a rancher. He was a member of the Church of the Visitation, The Westphalia Knights of Columbus Council #13902 and The Temple Knights of Columbus 4th Degree Assembly # 3488 . He was a member of Beefmasters Breeders United and the Central Texas Beefmasters Association.

He is survived by his wife, Lanette Ranly of Westphalia,
Two Daughters: Jana Ranly-Dobb and husband David of Houston and Charla Kahlig and husband Craig of Westphalia
Two Brothers: Melvin Ranly and B A Ranly both of Westphalia
Five Sisters: Nell Bartek of Temple, Elaine Brinkman of Temple, Lyn Dukatnik of Temple, Bernice Weaver of Westphalia, and Francis Reese of Temple
Five Grandchildren, Dalton Kahlig, Marshall Kahlig, Graham Kahlig, Nolan Kahlig, and Carson Kahlig all of Westphalia
Visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Sunday with a Rosary at 7:00 p.m. at the Church of the Visitation.
Cook-Gerngross-Green-Patterson Funeral Home in Rosebud is in charge of arrangements.
