David Clay Ogle, 85, passed away August 26, 2016 in Rockport, Texas. He was born July 18, 1931 in Hyannis, Nebraka to Clay Bement and Nedra Vance Ogle. David served in the United States Air Force. He was a resident of Rockport, Texas since 1966 and retired from Reynolds Metals, member of the First United Methodist Church and American Legion and a long- time volunteer of Castaways in Rockport, Texas.
He was preceded in death by his parents and wife, Loyce Merle McCarson Ogle. He is survived by sons, William David Ogle (Martha) of Norman, Oklahoma and Richard Booth Ogle (Debby) of Rockport, Texas; daughters, Laura Ogle Harris (Paul) of Laredo, Texas and Kerry Ogle DuBose (Dee) of Sinton, Texas; sister, Cecelia Ogle Jones of Alvin, Texas; grandchildren, James William Ogle (Amber), Anne Ogle Robbins (Randy), Cecilia Ogle, Benjamin David Harris, Kaelyn Fay DuBose, Daniel Borrer (Starr), Delaina Schmidt (Robert), DeeAnn Elizondo (Tudi), Thomas Whaley (Danielle) and numerous nieces and nephews and numerous great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be Monday, August 29, 2016 from 2:00 - 8:00 p.m. with the family to be present from 6:00 – 7:30 p.m., at Charlie Marshall Funeral Chapel Rockport, Texas. Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, August 30, 2016 at 10:00 a.m., at First United Methodist Church, Rockport, Texas. Interment will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday August, 31, 2016 at Friendship Cemetery, Friendship, Texas. Green-Patterson Funeral Home is in charge of local arrangements.
