Sibyl was born December 1, 1931 on a farm near Lott, Texas to Sibyl Woodland and Henry Majors Larmour. She was the youngest of five daughters born to Sibyl and Henry. She grew up on a farm near Lott in the heart of the Depression. She graduated with salutatorian honors from Lott High School Class of 1949. After high school, she attended 4C Business College and Baylor University. She then worked at Connolly Air Force Base as a Base Locator and Secretary to the Base Commander.

Sibyl raised three children while living in Waco, Austin, and Houston. During the twenty years she spent in Houston, Sibyl became an avid tennis player and excelled at the sport. Some of her fondest memories were of those days in the late ‘70s and early ‘80s playing tennis. She made some of her best friends on the tennis court.

In 1986, Sibyl moved back “home” to the Lott area where she lived on the same land on which she was raised. She was a very active member of the First Presbyterian Church of Lott for the last 28 years and served as the Secretary and Treasurer for the church. Through Sibyl’s hard work and tireless efforts in researching historical landmarks and coordinating with the Texas Historical Commission, the First Presbyterian Church of Lott was named an historical landmark in 1994.

Sibyl is survived by her husband of nearly 62 years, Kenneth Morris; daughter, Terry Kee and husband, Kenneth of Midlothian; daughter, Sherry Wilson and husband, Robert of Houston; son, Ken Morris and wife, Ann Marie of Cypress; and oldest sister, Ann Severson of Marlin. In addition, Sibyl is survived by her ten grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Sibyl’s grandchildren will act as honorary pall bearers: Matt Wilson of Houston; Sarah Wilson Simon of Temple; Courtney Kee Manino of Cypress; Emily Wilson Scott of Katy; Jeremy Kee of Midlothian; Chance Morris of Cypress; Cole Morris of Cypress; and Jenna Morris of Cypress.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the First Presbyterian Church of Lott, c/o Gail Palmore, 1412 Overlook Ridge Dr., Belton, TX 76513.
