Billy Dave Borden, 71, of Rosebud, died Wednesday, February 11, 2015 in a Rosebud Nursing Home. Services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Saturday in First Baptist Church in Rosebud. Rev. Jody Hickman, Rev. Stephen James and Rev. Wayne Boydstun officiating. Burial will follow in Powers Chapel Cemetery near Rosebud.
Mr. Borden was born August 3, 1943 in Rosebud to Billie and Sadie McIntosh Borden. He grew up in Corpus Christi where he graduated from Tuloso-Midway High School. He received his Bachelors and Masters Degrees from New Mexico State University. He married Barbara Stallcup on August 27, 1966. He served in the U.S. Army and was discharged with the rank of Lieutenant. His employment included working as a Wildlife Biologist in East Texas for 10 years and after moving back to Rosebud in 1981, he worked as City Manager and Municipal Judge for the City of Rosebud and owned Bordens Muffler Shop. Later, he taught Science at Rosebud-Lott High School. He was a member of First Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Barbara Borden of Rosebud,
One son, Nathan Borden and wife Cathy of Bishop and one daughter, Brenda Shelton and husband Richard (Scooter) of Westphalia.

5 Grandchildren: Haden Borden, Hannah Borden, Peyton Borden, Lauren Shelton, and Savannah Shelton
Memorials may be made to Operation Christmas Child
Visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday at Cook-Gerngross-Green-Patterson Funeral Home in Rosebud.
