Albert Pechal

Albert Martin Pechal was born September 14, 1935 at Little Flock, east of Temple, to William Pechal and Rosie Lee Halavaty Pechal. He died on Monday, November 3, 2014 at his residence. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday in Salem Lutheran Church near Barclay. Rev. Terry Atkins officiating. Burial will follow in Salem Lutheran Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday at Cook-Gerngross-Green-Patterson Funeral Home in Rosebud.
Albert attended school at Little Flock, Seaton, and graduated from Temple High School in 1954. He joined the Texas National Guard and served proudly for 5 years. He married the love of his life, Glenda Stephenson. They lived in Houston for several years before coming back to the Temple area where he farmed for 40 years.
He is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, his son and daughter in law, James Ray and Michelle Pechal of Sequim, Washington. Three granddaughters, Elissa Pechal of Austin, Jessica Hamilton of Austin, and Stefani Hamilton of Ballinger. His brothers, Alois, Andrew, Anton, Arnold, all of Temple. Sisters, Martha Tomlinson and Margaret Gibson also of Temple. Brother in law, Edward Stephenson of Houston and 5 Great Grand Kids, Oriana, Aydan, Danny, Remi, and Maxwell. Also numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and one son, Allan Pechal in 1985. He and his wife attended Salem Lutheran Church where he served on various committees for many years. In lieu of flowers, Memorials may be made to the Salem Lutheran Church.
