Mildred Mary Shuffield Mcqueeny

Funeral services for Mildred Mary Shuffield McQueeny, age 88, of Temple, and formerly of Cameron, will be held at 3:00 p m Thursday, September 11, in the chapel of Green-Patterson Funeral Home with Reverend Wayne Sheffield and Jason Taylor officiating. Burial will follow in the Little River Cemetery in the Jones Prairie community near Cameron.

Mrs. McQueeny was born August 17, 1926, in Colorado County, Texas, to Otto and Edna Sauer Sommer, and was a homemaker. She was a member of the Taylors Valley Baptist Church and was preceded in death by her first husband Hubert Shuffield in 1989, and later a second husband , Joe McQueeny in 2004, and children Billy Ray Shuffield and Richard Dale Shuffield.

Survivors include three sons and one daughter: Larry Shuffield of Temple; David Shuffield of Broken Arrow, OK; Donald Shuffield of Cameron and Joy Ann Taylor of Moody. She is also survived by two brothers and three sisters: Otto Sommer of Houston; Wilce Martin of North Carolina; Iva Martin of Texas City, Texas; Verna Vansa and Charlene Kamenicky of Cameron. 31 grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren also survive.

Family visitation will be held one hour prior to the funeral from 1-2 at the funeral home.
