Anna "Marie" Patzke



Anna “Marie” Casey Eakin Patzke, 96, of Rosebud, died
Saturday, July 27, 2013 in a Cameron nursing center.  Services were held 11 a.m. Wednesday at String
Prairie Cemetery in Jones Prairie Community, with Rev. Oscar Smart officiating.  The family received visitors Tuesday from
5 to 7 p.m. at Cook-Gerngross-Green-Patterson Funeral Home in Rosebud.



Mrs. Patzke was born April 10, 1917 in Marlin, Texas to Lee
and Mimie Irwin Casey.  She graduated
from the Cedar Springs School.  Mrs.
Patzke married Carson Eakin from Chilton, TX in 1947.  They moved to Houston, where she worked as a
telephone operator, and later moved to Dallas.



Mr. Eakin preceded her in death in 1962.  Marie and her children then moved to Rosebud,
where she married James Patzke in 1973.
She worked for a short time at the Rosebud school cafeteria. She was a
member of the First Baptist Church in Rosebud.



Mrs. Patzke was preceded in death by her husband James in
1996.  She was also preceded in death by
brothers Otho, Oran, and Harvey Casey, and a sister, Modean Norman.



She is survived by a son, Carson Eakin Jr. of Cameron; two
daughters, Ava Leah Eakin Rector and husband Roger, of California, Terri Gail
Eakin Smith and husband George, of Dallas; one brother, Roy Casey, and wife
Sandra, of Huntsville.  Numerous
grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces, and
nephews.



Cook-Gerngross-Green-Patterson Funeral Home is in Charge of
