Harold Ludwig Flentge, 90, of Barclay, died Thursday, May 9, 2013 at his residence. Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday in First Lutheran Church in Rosebud. Rev. Walter Chelmo officiating. Burial will follow in Barclay Cemetery.
Mr. Flentge was born August 20, 1922 near Burlington to Erwin and Elenora Arlitt Flentge. He married Ruby Spinn on January 3, 1945. He worked as a farmer. After retirement, his hobby was collecting and restoring Edsel automobiles. He served on the Barclay School Board and the church council for over 20 years, many as president. He served on the Falls County Farm Bureau and the Bell Milam Falls Water supply boards for 20 years. He also served on the Falls County Appraisal District board and served as Sunday School Superintendent.
He was a member of the Wildflower Car Club, the Edsel Owners Club, and the Temple area German Club.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one grandson, Benjamin Flentge.
Survivors include his wife, Ruby Flentge of Barclay
Two Sons: Dennis Flentge and wife Kathy of Cedarville, OH and Roland Flentge and wife Lanell of Belton
One Daughter: Elaine Jones and husband Ricky of Temple
6 Grandchildren: Keith Flentge, Klint Flentge, Nancy Flentge, Katie Flentge, Cathy Bruggman and Brian Jones
4 Great Grandchildren: Abigail Bruggman, Shelby Bruggman, Hunter Daugherty, and Colt Jones

Visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday at Cook-Gerngross-Green-Patterson Funeral Home in Rosebud.
