William Timothy “Dub” Brown, age 93, of College Station, passed away on December 30, 2012 in a College Station hospital. Dub was born on December 8, 1919, in Ft. Worth, Texas to Clarence and Lora (Battershell) Brown, and was a retired machinist and farmer.
Dub was preceded in death by his loving wife of 68 years Delois McKinney Brown, his parents, brother, Reginald Brown, sister, Regina Brown Wilson, son, Tim Allan, and granddaughter, Sara DeAnn May.
He is survived by his two daughters, Judy Frazier and Kathy May, both of College Station, two grandchildren, Christopher May of College Station, and Brian Frazier of Arlington and two Great-Grandchildren.
Dub was a proud Captain in the Army Air core, serving as a member of the 340 Bombgroup 487 th Squadron and flew fifty missions over North Africa, Sicily and Italy. He was also a member of 5 th Ferry Group that flew out of Love Field.
Dub’s passion was providing and caring for his family. They were his life. He loved to share a good joke, sing a song to his kids and grandchildren. He had a wonderful wit and incredible memory. He loved playing “42” and would work puzzles and mathematical problems to keep his mind sharp. In his later years he loved loading Delois up in the RV to seek new adventures and make new friends along the way.
Dub will be interred in the Davidson Cemetery in Davidson, Oklahoma with a private family service.
