Lucille Talafuse, 88, of Rosebud, died Monday in a Rosebud Nursing Home. Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday in Cook-Gerngross-Green-Patterson Funeral Home in Rosebud. Rev. Paul Rawls officiating. Burial will follow in Powers Chapel Cemetery near Rosebud.
Mrs. Talafuse was born September 30, 1924 in Oklahoma to Robert and Mary Ruth Smith Brewer. She lived in the Rosebud area since 1998. She married Frank William Seelke in 1942 and he preceded her in death in 1972. In 1973, she married Raymond Talafuse who died in 1998. She worked as a nurses aide at medical facilities in Rockdale and Cameron.
She was also preceded in death by a son, Bobby McKay and a daughter, Peggy Ferguson.
Survivors include three sons: William Seelke and Earl Seelke both of Rockdale and Donald Seelke of Salem, Missouri
Three Daughters: Linda Fikes of Rosebud, Louise Muston of Cameron, and Doris Blankenship of Waco
One Sister: Pat Holt of Azle
24 Grandchildren 16 Great Grandchildren 12 Great Grandchildren
Visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
