Emmie Lou Mackie

Emmie Lou Mackie, 92, of Cedar Springs, died Monday, May 14, 2012 in a Marlin Nursing Home. Services were held at 3:00 p.m. Thursday in Cook-Gerngross-Green-Patterson Funeral Home in Rosebud. Rev. Billy Joe Lambert and Rev. Bill Perdue officiating. Burial will follow in Powers Chapel Cemetery near Rosebud.
Mrs. Mackie was born May 23, 1919 in Cedar Springs to Hardy and Sallie Carter Radford. She lived in Falls County all of her life. She married Edward Mackie on July 3, 1937. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Lott where she taught Sunday School for many years.
She was preceded in death by her husband on February 2, 1989.
She is survived by Four sons: Bob Mackie of Golinda, Nick Mackie of Cedar Springs, Terry Mackie and Ted Mackie both of Lott
One Daughter: Marvel Beavers of Robinson
Three Sisters: Mae Ola Coker of Rosebud, Mary Westerman of Cedar Springs, and Ruby Bailey of Lott
11 Grandchildren and 23 Great Grandchildren
Memorials may be made to First Baptist Church in Lott.
Visitation was held from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
