Aldonia Osment, 92, of Lott, died Saturday April 28, 2012 at her residence. Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday in Cook-Gerngross-Green-Patterson Funeral Home in Rosebud. Rev. Stephen Ramsdell officiating. Burial will follow in Clover Hill Cemetery in Lott.
Mrs. Osment was born October 2, 1919 near Moody to Zacharia Thomas and Esther Giddeon Chappell. She lived in Lott most of her life. She married Harvey Osment on October 17, 1936. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star # 594 in Lott for over 50 years. She was a member of the Daughters of the Nile Choir in Waco and First United Methodist Church in Lott where she was the song leader for over 50 years. She was active in many civic organizations in Lott and enjoyed family, music, and dancing.
She was preceded in death by a son, Harvey Dean Osment, Four Brothers and Three Sisters.
She is survived by her husband, Harvey Osment of Lott
One son: John W.Osment and wife Carolyn of Arlington
Three Daughters: Rochelle Mercer and husband Marvin of Waco, Bobbie Fiedler and husband David of Bryan and Saundra Karnes and husband John of Waco
Four Sisters: Imogene Adams of Killeen, Faye Murphy of Euless, Pearlie Soriano and Ruth Lambert both of Travis
11 Grandchildren 16 Great Grandchildren and 3 Great Great Grandchildren
Memorials may be made to Providence Hospice.
Vistiation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
