Dorothy Lurlean Shelton

Dorothy Lurlean Shelton, 83, of Houston, and formerly of Rogers, passed away on April 11, 2012 at her residence. Funeral services were held on Saturday, April 14, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. at Friendship United Methodist Church, near Buckholts, with Rev. Billy Crow officiating. Burial followed at Friendship Cemetery. Visitation was held at Green-Patterson Funeral Home on Friday, April 13 from 5-7 p.m.

Mrs. Shelton was born to John and Durylee (Broussard) Paschal on August 24, 1928 in Rogers, TX. She spent her childhood years in the Cameron and Rogers’s area. Mrs. Shelton later moved to Houston, where she married Melvin Shelton on June 25, 1945. She spent her adult life as a homemaker, and really enjoyed interior designing. She was a very talented woman, who loved Jesus, and was a great artist.

Mrs. Shelton was preceded in death by her husband of 45 years, Melvin Shelton.

Daughters: Cathy Shelton of Houston and Debbie and husband Dale Siebert of New Caney
