Ben Voltin

Ben Voltin, 94, of Rosebud, died Wednesday, April 4, 2012 in a Rosebud Nursing Home. Services were held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday in Cook-Gerngross-Green-Patterson Funeral Home in Rosebud. Rev. H.L.Williams officiating. Graveside services were held at 11:00 a.m.Monday in Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery in Killeen.
Mr. Voltin was born November 25, 1917 in Barclay to John and Annie Winkamp Voltin. He lived in the Rosebud area all of his life. He graduated from Barclay High School and served in the U.S. Army in World War II. He was a retired farmer, cotton ginner, and carpenter.
He is survived by his common law wife: Elizabeth Mitchell of Rosebud.
Two step sons: Ricky Mitchell Sr. and wife Johnnie of Rosebud and Daniel Mitchell Sr. and wife Nora of Waco.
One Sister: Mary Ann Boyer of Temple
Step Grandchildren: Ricky Mitchell Jr. and Emily, Steven Mitchell, Daniel Mitchell Jr. and Gracie Mitchell
Visitation will be held from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
