Walter Leroy Garvey

Walter Leroy Garvey, 56, of Westphalia, died Thursday, March 1, 2012 in a Temple Hospital. Services were held at 10:00 a.m. Monday in the Church of the Visitation in Westphalia. Rev. Walter Dhanwar officiating. Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery in Westphalia.
Mr. Garvey was born February 24, 1956 in Landau, Germany. He graduated from Austin Reagan High School and TSTC in Waco. He worked as a Plastics Engineer for DOW Chemical Company and had served in the U.S. Navy.
He was preceded in death by his father, Walter L. Garvey.
He is survived by his mother: Erna Entrop Garvey of Austin.
One Sister: Sharon Whitehurst of Blanco.
Rosary was recited at 6:00 p.m. Sunday in Cook-Gerngross-Green-Patterson Funeral Home in Rosebud.
