Elsie Marie Frei

Elsie Frei, 89, of Westphalia, died Tuesday, February 21, 2012, in a Temple Hospital. Services were held at 10:00 a.m. Friday in the Church of the Visitation in Westphalia. Rev. Walter Dhanwar officiating. Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery in Westphalia.
Mrs. Frei was born November 2, 1922 in Lott to William and Olga Smetana Kleypas. She lived in Westphalia most of her life. She married Melvin Frei on June 14, 1943. She was a member of the Church of the Visitation and the altar society.
She was preceded in death by her son, Dr. Melvin Ray Frei.
She is survived by her husband; Melvin Frei of Westphalia
Two Sons: Larry Frei and wife Grace of Westphalia and Glen Frei of Belton
One daughter: Judy Sitz and husband Dale of Salado
Daughter in law: Carol Frei of San Antonio
7 Grandchildren and 8 Great Grandchildren
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Westphalia Historical Society.
Rosary was recited at 7:00 p.m. Thursday at Cook-Gerngross-Green-Patterson Funeral Home in Rosebud.
