Viola F. Ranly, 87, of Westphalia, died Saturday, February 18, 2012 in a Temple Hospital. Services were held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday in the Church of the Visitation in Westphalia. Rev. Walter Dhanwar officiating. Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery in Westphalia.
Mrs. Ranly was born February 17, 1925 in Westphalia to Henry and Frances Michalka Ejem. She married Leonard H. Ranly on June 11, 1955. She was a lifelong resident of Westphalia and a member of the Church of the Visitation, The Altar Society and served on various committees throughout her membership. She was a homemaker.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Leonard, one brother, Albert “Pete” Ejem, and one sister, Margaret Edmonds.
She is survived by two sons: Edward L. Ranly and Harold F. Ranly and Karen Meadows both of Westphalia.
Three daughters: Ann Brenek and husband Ernest of Temple, Kay Halfmann and husband Jimmy of Burlington, and Janet Ferguson of Westphalia.
7 Grandchildren and one great grandson.
Visitation was held from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m.Monday with Rosary recited at 7:00 p.m. in Cook-Gerngross-Green-Patterson Funeral Home in Rosebud.
