Gladys Whitfield

Gladys Whitfield, 83, of Rosebud, died Thursday, February 9, 2012 in a Temple Hospital. Services were held at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday in Manasseh Church of God in Christ in Rosebud. Rev. Gaylon Clark officiating. Burial will follow in Bluebonnet Cemetery in Rosebud.
Mrs. Whitfield was born October 8, 1928 in Lexington, Texas to Thomas and Lelar Brown Wolridge. She lived in Rosebud most of her life. She married Roy Whitfield and worked as a beautician and in the home care field. She was a member of Manasseh Church of God in Christ.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband of over 61 years, and siblings, Roy Wolridge Sr., Willard Wolridge Sr., Minnie Lou Farr, Carrie DeBoskie, Bernice Lewis, and Velma Mae Mitchell.
She is survived by a niece, Beverly Baker of Round Rock, along with several other nephews and nieces.
Viewing began at 3:00 p.m. Tuesday, with family visitation from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Cook-Gerngross-Green-Patterson Funeral Home in Rosebud.
