Erwin Bernard Lange, 100, of Bloomington, formerly of Westphalia, died Saturday, December 17, 2011, in a Victoria Nursing Home. Services will be held at 10:00a.m. Wednesday, December 28. 2011 in the Church of the Visitation in Westphalia. Rev. Walter Dhanwar officiating. Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery in Westphalia.

Mr. Lange was born October 2, 1911 in Olfen to Joseph A. and Helena Matthiesen Lange. He married Emma Meyer on March 26, 1940. He was a retired farmer and carpenter. He was a member of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Bloomington and was the choir director for many years at the Church of the Visitaiton in Westphalia and St. Boniface Church in Olfen.

He is survived by his children: Carol Sutton of Bloomington, Lyndon Lange and wife Jeanne of Bloomington, Eugene Lange and wife Judy of Lolo, Montana, Glordine Johnson and husband Jimmy, of Willow, Alaska, Wanda Horne of San Diego, CA, Virginia Rogers and husband Robert of Huson, Montana, Debra Hyndman and husband Doug of Waco, Brenda Townsend and husband Don of Lexington, OK, Douglas Lange and wife Theresa of Dakota Dunes, South Dakota, Roxie Constable and husband JR of Santa Fe, New Mexico.

Daughter in law: Elaine Lange of Littleton, Colorado

29 Grandchildren 42 Great Grandchildren and 5 great great grandchildren

Sisters: Sister Helen Lange of St. Leo, Florida and Lucille Franke of Ballinger

Brother: Arnold Lange and wife Ernestine of San Angelo

Sister in law: Felda Lange of Olfen

Erwin was preceded in death by his his wife of 55 years, son, Donald Lange, sister, Sidona and brothers, Herbert, Ralph, and Gerald.

Memorials may be made to Holy Name Monastery, P.O. Box 2450, St. Leo, Florida, 33574 of the charity of your choice.

Rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 27, 2011 at Cook-Gerngross-Green-Patterson Funeral Home in Rosebud.
