Funeral services for Mrs. Edgar Pearl (Sunshine) Love, age 92, of Edmond, Oklahoma, will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, at the Little River Cemetery Pavilion, with Dr. Ben Love leading a family time of remembrances of the life of Mrs. Love. Burial will follow in the Little River Cemetery.
Mrs. Love died Monday in Mercy Health Center, Oklahoma City, following a very brief illness. Mrs. Love was born November 19, 1918, in Greenville, Texas, to William Edgar and Willie Pearl Haltom Preston, and was the retired owner and operator of Love’s Country Store in Center Point, along with her husband James Allen Love Sr. who preceded her in death in 1999. Also preceding her in death was a brother Bill Preston, and a sister Wanda Flynn. Mrs. Love was a graduate of Greenville High School and later attended nursing school. She and the family lived in Greenville, then in Richardson before moving to Center Point in 1974, starting the Love’s Country Store. She lived in Edmond, Oklahoma near to her son, Dr. Ben love and family, after retiring in 1997.
Survivors include her 3 sons, James A. Love Jr. of Austin, TX, Dr. Ben Love of Oklahoma City, OK, and Joseph E. Love of Chesapeake, Virginia, 11 grandchildren, and 15 great grandchildren.
